Willis Towers Watson taps Hiscox duo for political risk team
Broker Willis Towers Watson has recruited Claire Simpson and Victoria Padfield within its political risk and trade credit team in London as part of a broader expansion of its financial solutions division.
Both Simpson and Padfield held underwriting positions with Hiscox prior to joining Willis Towers Watson.
Simpson joined Hiscox in 1998, and was promoted to head of political risks and trade credit underwriting in 2009. Prior to that, she worked with Ernst and Young. Padfield worked at Hiscox for nearly 30 years, underwriting all aspects of political and credit risk exposures.
Paul Davidson, chairman of financial solutions, said: "We are delighted to welcome Claire and Victoria to our team of 120 dedicated political risk and credit specialists operating within the financial solutions global platform around the world. Their extensive knowledge and experience is a tremendous addition to our business."
"Claire joins us as our global claims director and this senior appointment reflects the intrinsic value of claims management in this highly complex business and its significant position within our global client proposition," Davidson added.
