Willis Towers Watson hires Accenture MD for insurance consulting
Willis Towers Watson has appointed John Morley to lead the global development of its systems integration and workflow platform 'Unify'.
Morley joins the company's insurance consulting and technology practice from Accenture, where he was managing director of finance and risk services for insurance.
In his new role based in London, Morley will be responsible for identifying and developing areas where Unify can help solve business, regulatory and governance challenges for insurers.
Morley specialises in large-scale regulatory and efficiency-driven finance, risk and actuarial transformation programmes, including operating model, process and technology change. He has over 20 years of international experience in financial services, working for global re/insurers and advisory firms, including EY and KPMG.
Duncan Anderson, Willis Towers Watson’s global insurance technology leader, insurance consulting and technology, said: "John is a proven leader with outstanding experience in delivering major transformation projects driven by the need for efficiency, regulatory compliance and accounting standards changes. We’re confident he will help us deliver innovative and cutting-edge solutions for insurers aiming to achieve a higher standard of performance in risk and capital management."
Morley commented: "Considering increased disruptive and digital competition, as well as regulatory scrutiny, the structure of the Insurance Consulting and Technology team is in my view perfectly placed to allow consultants to help clients on the broad sweep of transformative issues that they are facing globally, to significantly improve business performance."
