Willis appoints new health care leader in CRB business
Broker Willis Towers Watson has appointed Mary Botkin as health care industry lead in its corporate risk and broking (CRB) segment.
Botkin joined Willis Towers Watson in 2007, where she has held a variety of leadership positions, and has over 38 years of experience in the health care risk management space. She is based in Houston, Texas and reports to Rick Hawkinberry, chief operating officer, CRB, North America.
Botkin will be responsible for delivering the company’s integrated risk management strategy to its health care portfolio, including hospitals, integrated delivery systems, physicians’ groups, long-term care facilities and managed care companies. She will ensure clients have access to the company’s global platform of services and solutions, including risk analytics, clinical risk management consulting and claim management.
“Mary has tremendous market credibility across the health care industry and the global insurance marketplace. We are thrilled to have Mary’s leadership to enhance our value proposition to this key segment,” said Hawkinberry.
Botkin added: “In today’s complex health care landscape, providers are struggling with a range of organizational and financial risks, including reimbursement for continuum of care, privacy risk and industry consolidation, which is creeping across pharma and other non-traditional health care sectors. Given this volatility, clients value specialized industry expertise and innovative risk management partners to help them navigate this environment and position them for long-term success.”
