VIG CEO Stadler to step down at end of current term
Elisabeth Stadler (pictured) will stand down from her post as CEO of the Vienna Insurance Group after seven and a half years at the helm after her current term expires.
Stadler, who informed the board she will not continue after having hit retirement age, will hold the post to the end of the current term. VIG's supervisory board chair Günter Geyer has asked Stadler to be on hand thereafter, particularly for supervisory board functions.
VIG made no mention of plans for a recruitment process.
Stadler came to VIG in 2016 after posts atop Austria's Donau Versicherung and ERGO Austria International. Her CV also brags of posts at Raiffeisen, UNIQA and twenty years of rising through the ranks at Bundesländer Versicherung.
