Unicorn insurtech bolttech reveals major expansion in Europe
Fast-growing insurtech bolttech has secured a large partnership with technology giant Samsung that will help expand its global presence to 30 markets. It follows the company's largest ever Series A funding round to fuel the next phase of its international growth.
Samsung and bolttech have expanded their device protection partnership into six additional markets in Europe.
The Samsung Care+ plus offering in Belgium, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark builds on similar arrangements in seven countries across Asia. It marks a total of 13 markets for the bolttech and Samsung partnership globally.
Through the Samsung Care+ programme, bolttech aims to help customers in Europe protect their smartphone, tablet and wearable devices against accidental physical and liquid breakage for up to two years. The device protection plans also offer worldwide cover to ensure protection away from home as well as a host of other benefits, including an option for theft cover.
Andrew Cons (pictured), chief executive Officer for bolttech Europe, said: “We’re thrilled to be expanding our partnership with global leader Samsung into Europe to deliver next-generation device protection solutions to customers, following the success of Samsung Care+ in Asia. This exciting news reflects our growing presence in the region and fuels our ambition to become the number one insurtech in Europe.”
Willem Visser, VP Mobile of Samsung Benelux, said: "Whatever happens to our customers' devices, with Samsung Care+ they have a comprehensive mobile care plan and protection against accidental damage. Thanks to this collaboration with bolttech, we are able to offer Samsung users the best possible service and they will be able to get back to work quickly if their device is damaged."
