Trio of Marsh hires to expand BMS’ specialty lines in London
Specialist re/insurance broker BMS has expanded its London DUA and programmes division as part of its growth strategy with three key specialty hires from Marsh.
Richard Wynn (Pictured) has been appointed as managing director of specialty classes for the company’s London DUA and programmes division.
Wynn, together with Phil Gander and Peter Nyonyintono, join BMS from Marsh to expand BMS’ capabilities in specialty lines. Gander is appointed as divisional director and Nyonyintono as a broker in specialty risks.
Wynn has been in the industry for over 30 years, having previously worked for more than three years as managing director of Marsh specialty following its merger in 2019 with JLT specialty, where he was a partner. Prior to that, he spent eighteen years working for Howden, first as regional practice head Asia, developing their financial lines business and before this as executive director Asia, where he held responsibility for the development and placing of wholesale insurance in the APAC region. He was also previously based in Howden’s Dubai office as an executive director.
Wynn said: “We are very pleased to join BMS, bringing additional international specialty capabilities to the well-established BMS delegated authority team. The main attractions being the operational excellence and expertise BMS already have in place to fully service our clients efficiently, whilst also having the freedom to work with our insurance, reinsurance, and analytics capabilities to deliver the best solutions for the MGA sector.”
