Travelers taps new chief information officer from Liberty Mutual

Property/casualty insurer Travelers Companies has appointed Mojgan Lefebvre as executive vice president and chief information officer. She succeeds Madelyn Lankton, who will retire this month after 36 years with Travelers.

In addition to leading the company’s technology strategy and execution, Lefebvre will have responsibility for Travelers’ Enterprise Operations and eBusiness teams. She will serve on the company’s management committee and will report to chairman and chief executive officer Alan Schnitzer.

For the past eight years, she has been with Liberty Mutual, serving most recently as senior vice president and chief information officer for its global risk solutions business.

“Mojgan has a proven track record of driving innovation and technological transformation across complex organizations,” said Schnitzer. “Her deep expertise, strategic orientation and collaborative approach make her a perfect fit for Travelers’ culture and vision of being the undeniable choice for the customer and an indispensable partner for our agents and brokers.”
