Travelers appoints Lloyd’s platform leader

Property/casualty insurer Travelers Europe has appointed Nick Rnjak to lead Travelers Syndicate Management, its wholly-owned platform in the Lloyd’s insurance market.

Rnjak most recently served as chief underwriting officer for Travelers Syndicate. He will report to Travelers Europe chief executive officer Matthew Wilson.

Rnjak has more than 40 years of industry experience in the London market. Before joining Travelers in 2007, he held a number of underwriting leadership roles at Ace, Gerling, Cox Syndicate and HSB.

“Nick is a proven leader and respected underwriter who has been instrumental in our Syndicate’s strong performance over the past several years,” said Wilson. “His extensive industry knowledge will help us to continue delivering specialised products in key segments and position us for even greater success.”

Rnjak commented: “It’s an exciting time in our industry, and we have an incredibly talented and experienced team in our Lloyd’s group. I look forward to working with the team in this new capacity as we strengthen our broker relationships and provide comprehensive solutions that meet the sophisticated needs of their clients.”
