Topa Insurance reveals new director of programmes
Specialty property/casualty insurer Topa Insurance Company has hired a new director of programme business.
Damon Lay (pictured) specialises in project management, new product development, product enhancement, coverage and statistical analysis, and ratemaking.
Most recently, Lay was senior product manager at Farmers Insurance where he evaluated and monitored competitors’ small business strategy, target markets, growth and retention, and acquisition activity. Previous roles at Farmers include director, senior product manager, and actuary. Lay has also held roles at Swiss Re and Perr & Knight.
In his new role, Lay will be responsible for managing Topa Insurance’s programme partners and overseeing the programme business profitability.
Denise Pavlov, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Topa, said: “Damon’s experience and skillset will help us continue to manage our programme partners for success.”
Lay commented: “I’m very excited to join the Topa Insurance team. I look forward to working with our programme partners, Denise and the rest of Topa Insurance.”
