Top executives step down from CEO and CFO posts at Allianz
Two of the top executives at Allianz Holdings, serving in CEO and CFO positions, are stepping down from their roles to pursue opportunities outside the company, triggering a leadership reshuffle at the insurer.
Steve Treloar (pictured right), chief executive offiver (CEO) for Allianz Personal, and Fernley Dyson (pictured left), chief financial officer (CFO) for Allianz Insurance, have both decided to leave the company.
Treloar, who joined LV= as managing director in May 2016, has held several senior roles at Aviva and RBS Insurance. He became CEO of LV= General Insurance in December 2017 and led the joint venture with Allianz, culminating in full Allianz ownership. Treloar will remain at the company until June 30 2023, and the process to appoint a successor is currently underway.
Dyson, who joined Allianz UK in January 2019 after serving as CFO at Ageas and holding several senior roles at Aviva, will step down on May 30. He will be succeeded by Ulf Lange, currently head of business division for global lines and Anglo Markets, Allianz SE. Lange, who joined Allianz in 2008, was also CFO of Allianz Partners before his recent position in global lines and Anglo Markets.
Colm Holmes, CEO of Allianz Holdings, said: “During a period of determined headwinds and exciting changes, Steve has played a crucial role in the success of our business. I would like to thank him for his significant contribution that has earned us the recognition of being one of the leading personal lines insurers in the UK. Whilst a successor has not yet been appointed, I am thankful that Steve has agreed to work with the Allianz Personal senior leadership team to ensure a smooth transition.
“I’d also like to thank Fernley for the contribution he has made to our business over the last four years. He has played a key role in building our business and leading Finance functions through the acquisitions of LV= general insurance and L&G general insurance. I wish him well for the future.
“I have no doubt the expertise and experience Ulf is bringing to Allianz will aid our future success. I’d like to extend a warm welcome to him and I look forward to working together.”
Treloar added: “It has been an absolute privilege to work alongside such a talented, dedicated, and passionate team. I am immensely proud of all that we have achieved over the last seven years. Having completed the integration of the L&G General Insurance business, now is the right moment to pass on the baton.”
Dyson commented: “I am privileged to have been part of an amazing team, building this fantastic business over the last four years. It’s now time for me to move on and wish all of my friends and colleagues at Allianz the very best for the future.”
