TigerRisk swoops for Aon's Ridpath for casualty expansion
Reinsurance broking and risk/capital management firm TigerRisk has appointed Glyn Ridpath as a partner within its expanding casualty practice in London.
Ridpath joins TigerRisk from broker Aon, where he most recently served as a managing director since 2018.
Prior to that, he served as managing director and head of specialty casualty at Guy Carpenter, having joined the company in 2016 from JLT Re where he worked as a partner to broaden the company’s offerings.
Previously, Ridpath worked as a senior broker at HSBC where he developed his casualty specialty expertise. He started his insurance industry career in the claims department of Aon where he advanced to become a junior broker.
Ridpath will report to James Few, TigerRisk’s CEO UK, who said: “Glyn is one of the industry’s leading experts in specialty casualty. We are lucky to have him and are eager to share his expertise with existing and new clients.”
TigerRisk’s president Rob Bredahl added: “Tiger is growing rapidly while the industry landscape is constantly changing. We remain fully committed to helping our clients navigate this unprecedented environment through innovation and collaboration. Glyn will add powerful expertise to our global platform.”
Ridpath commented: “I am excited to be part of TigerRisk’s growing Casualty Practice. With so much opportunity in the marketplace, TigerRisk is both established and perfectly positioned to grow and provide its clients the innovative solutions and customer advocacy it is known for.”
