The Hartford secures supervisory power in four-time CFO leader

The Hartford went in search of supervisory talent, finding the smarts to oversee finance, investment and risk management in an industry leader who has been CFO at no less than four major names across the financial industry.

Edmund Reese will take the board of directors post with committee appointments for finance, investment and risk management as well as audit.

Reese is currently CFO at Broadridge Financial Solutions, having held the same C-suite post at key units in the American Express, Merrill Lynch and Citigroup Smith Barney franchises.

The Hartford’s chairman and CEO Christopher Swift commented: “Reese is an accomplished financial leader with deep experience in investments, strategy, operations and product launches during his time with several trusted and admired companies. He was also a driving force in the success of the consumer business of a leading financial services company. We look forward to having him join the board as we focus on profitable growth and maximizing value for all stakeholders.”
