The Hanover enters Pennsylvania personal lines market
US-based property/casualty firm Hanover Insurance Group has expanded its business in Pennsylvania to include personal lines insurance, and has appointed a group of independent agents in the Commonwealth to serve its growing customer base.
The move is part of the company’s ongoing strategy to expand its footprint and offer its agent partners a full suite of insurance solutions for their clients, the company said.
The company's personal lines offering includes Hanover Platinum Protection, a customizable package of home and auto insurance, among others.
Jennifer Sellers has been appointed assistant regional vice president for the office in Conshohocken, responsible for sales and distribution in the Commonwealth.
"We have a very successful commercial lines business in Pennsylvania, working with some of the Commonwealth's best agents and we intend to leverage those business relationships to launch our personal lines business," said Daniel Halsey, president of personal lines at The Hanover.
"As we continue to expand our personal lines footprint, Pennsylvania is an important market for us given its high-calibre independent agents and attractive customer base. We believe our Platinum offering, coupled with the expertise of our agency partners, offers a competitive, comprehensive insurance solution for consumers at all stages of life."
