The Latin American insurance market has been under some pressure. Despite not having suffered any major climate change-related catastrophe event in recent years, worldwide trends such as inflation, economic crisis, political instability and social unrest as well as a rise in the frequency of loss events, have not completely missed the region.

All these challenges have existed or recently appeared, in some form or other, on this continent as well.
