Standard Club hires new CIO to develop tech strategy
Mutual P&I insurer The Standard Club has bolstered its senior team with two new appointments in 2021. Laura Linturn joins as chief information officer (CIO) and Alex Miell joins as head of people & culture.
In her new role, Linturn will be responsible for further developing and implementing the club’s future technology strategy.
Linturn was previously at AXA XL where she held the role of VP head of IT change controls and sourcing. Prior to that, she held senior technology roles at XL Catlin, and AXA UK and positions with particular emphasis on technology sourcing and vendor management during a 20-year career.
Miell has been charged with defining, implementing and enabling the club’s HR strategy, making sure its decisions, policies and working align with it.
He has more than 20 years of experience in HR in a variety of roles largely in technology, financial services and professional services, notably MoneySupermarket Group, Pearson Group and DWF.
