SSL Endeavour targets international expansion with new hire
Lloyd’s broker and delegated authority specialist SSL Endeavour has hired a senior professional indemnity (PI) broker to expand its international business.
Mike Newson will initially work on the company's Canadian coverholder business and support its UK PI book.
Newson comes to SSL from Vantage Professional Risks where he was an account executive. Prior to that, he spent seven years with Arthur J Gallagher (International) as a divisional director responsible for the entire PI portfolio managing client, underwriting and managing general agent relationships.
“We are delighted to welcome a highly experienced broker of Mike’s calibre to the team. I have known Mike for a number of years. His experience and insight will be pivotal in exploring and delivering further expansion for us in the PI market," said Karen Allen, SSL Endeavour Group managing director. "With the PI market significantly hardening in many areas this is the perfect market for a seasoned broker like Mike and we are very excited about working with him."
"Mike’s initial focus will be working on our Canadian Coverholder business, where we have significant PI opportunities arising from our current focus on Property and Casualty. Mike will also support the development of our UK PI book," Allen added.
