SiriusPoint swoops on Sompo for senior claims hire

Global specialty re/insurer  SiriusPoint has hired a Sompo International executive for the role of vice president, head of claims for its environmental/construction pollution & professional team.

Kanan Sheth (pictured) announced on LinkedIn that she has moved to SiriusPoint from Sompo, where she most recently served as an assistant vice president, responsible for managing a multiline book of insurance focussed on commercial and professional lines.

Prior to Sompo, Sheth worked at Endurance as AVP, claims counsel for nearly a decade, and before that at Zurich North America where she headed its environmental team.

Sheth also held the role of environmental analyst at AIG before joining Zurich in 2005.
