SiriusPoint swoops on CNA/Travelers for new global head of claims
Global specialty re/insurer SiriusPoint has found a new global head of claims in a CNA and Travelers’ senior executive with a vast experience in managing multinational claims.
Trecia Sigle (pictured) is the new global head of claims at SiriusPoint, where she will be responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the claims function across SiriusPoint’s diverse global underwriting portfolio—encompassing policy and governance, claims handling, and best practices across all jurisdictions.
Her role also includes the buildout of claims capability to support SiriusPoint’s primary insurance business, including the claims function associated with managing general agent (MGA) partnerships, and third party administrators (TPAs).
Sigle will report to Patrick Charles, global head of property and casualty (P&C) insurance & services.
Sigle joins the SiriusPoint team from CNA Financial Corporation and its subsidiaries, where she was vice president of TPA and multinational claims. In this role, she managed claim relationships for domestic and international policies. A lawyer by training, she began her career in insurance in 2001 as staff counsel attorney at Travelers, before moving into claims and progressing through the company. In 2016 she moved to Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co to head their workers’ compensation claims, before moving to CNA in 2018.
Charles said: “SiriusPoint is committed to delivering outstanding customer service, and a responsive and dependable claims function is central to that commitment. Trecia is an accomplished and experienced claims professional. I look forward to welcoming her and to strengthening this essential part of our organisation.”
