Sedgwick reveals new leadership appointments
Technology-driven risk solutions provider Sedgwick has bolstered its casualty lines and managed care leadership with two new appointments.
John Stanzi has been named president of casualty operations for the Americas, stepping into the role formerly held by Jim Ryan, who was recently named COO of the Americas.
Stanzi has more than 20 years of business leadership in operational, financial and corporate development roles. He most recently held the role of managing director of casualty operations with Sedgwick, where he worked closely with Ryan and other leaders on strategic projects and growth initiatives across the company's casualty lines of business.
Andrea Buhl has been appointed to the role of president of Sedgwick's managed care operations. In her expanded role, Buhl will continue to work with employers to develop workers' care and cost containment programmes.
Ryan said: "Since joining Sedgwick, John's strong leadership skills and broad insurance experience have been extremely valuable in our ongoing efforts to improve and expand our services. In his new role, John will focus on leading and supporting all colleagues across our casualty lines to further enhance the expertise and results we deliver to our clients and the employees and consumers they serve.
He added: "Andrea has been an instrumental part of the Sedgwick team during her time as managing director of clinical programs, and her skill is truly unparalleled. I'm thrilled to be able to announce her promotion to president of managed care. Andrea's oversight these past several years has helped Sedgwick bring quality care to thousands of our clients' injured and ill employees, and we are excited to see where she will take Sedgwick's managed care division next in her expanded role."
