Ryan Specialty nabs Allstate leader in diversity, equity & inclusion push
Ryan Specialty has hired a senior executive with 24 years of experience and a background at Allstate to promote diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) at the firm.
Carlos Herrera (Pictured) has joined the DEI team as vice president to help lead Ryan Specialty’s efforts in creating a sustainable DEI approach, as well as building strong alliances within the insurance industry and within the communities where it does business.
Herrera brings 24 years of experience in Talent Acquisition & Management and DEI. He comes to Ryan Specialty from Allstate, where Ryan said he was influential in implementing key DEI performance standards that supported the company’s Employee Life Cycle and key Human Resources initiatives. Specifically, Herrera led the organisation’s Employee Resource Groups, Disability Inclusion strategies, and DEI Recruitment and Training, along with building and partnering with key external stakeholders.
