Ryan Specialty looks to bolster broker and carrier relationships with Nationwide's Clark
Ryan Specialty Group (RSG) has hired E&S and specialty insurance leader Tom Clark to further develop its trading relationships with both retail brokers and carriers, working on behalf of RT Specialty and its delegated authority business units within RSG Underwriting Managers.
Clark has over three decades of experience in the insurance industry. He has been the president of Nationwide E&S/specialty since 2015 and recently announced his retirement from the company.
Pat Ryan, founder, chairman and CEO of Ryan Specialty Group, said: “We are thrilled that Tom will be joining RSG. We have known Tom well for many years, having worked with him closely on numerous strategic initiatives, and realise the great leadership and strategic talent that Tom possesses. We are looking to Tom to continue accelerating our unprecedented growth, developing new products and deepening client and carrier relationships throughout RSG.
"In addition to Tom’s many talents, he fits with our organization culturally as he conducts himself with the highest level of integrity and client-centricity. We look forward to Tom becoming a highly valued team member at RSG.”
Clark commented: “I am honored to join the RSG family and greatly appreciate the opportunity to work under the leadership of Pat Ryan and alongside such a talented group of professionals. This determined team has a proven track record of sustained growth and innovation, making RSG a leader in the industry with limitless potential.
"I will leverage my broad experience working on the retail, wholesale and agency side of the business to further complement the strategic direction of RSG as they continue to expand their reach horizontally and vertically.”
