RSA draws key hires from Chubb/Aviva to bolster UK specialty lines

RSA Insurance has tapped key hires from  Chubb and  Aviva to bolster its UK specialty lines accident and health business.

Laura Fox joins the business as regional underwriting manager, based in Manchester, while Forhad Alam joins as specialist underwriter and will be based in London.

RSA's UK Specialty Lines is part of Intact’s Global Specialty Lines, which offers integrated global propositions for brokers and customers with more complex international risks.

Fox has more than 25 years sector experience. She spent the majority of her career with Chubb and was latterly personal A&H senior underwriter and team leader in Manchester. She left Chubb in December 2021 to join Aviva.

Alam joins RSA from Chubb, where he has spent the last five years and is currently A&H Underwriter. He has also worked for CNA Hardy and Compass Underwriting.

Steve Harrison, casualty and A&H director, UK specialty lines, RSA Insurance said: “I’m delighted that Laura and Forhad are joining the team and RSA. Both are hugely respected professionals in their respective markets and will build upon and enhance our existing capabilities in the A&H space throughout the UK.”
