RSA bolsters risk consulting leadership with ex-MS Amlin executive
UK-based RSA Insurance has bolstered its risk consulting leadership with the appointment of a new director.
In his new role, Andy Jones (pictured) will lead the risk consulting team serving SMEs to large complex customers across RSA’s commercial lines business.
Jones is currently head of operations and proposition, risk consulting, and joined RSA in August 2020.
Jones has over 30 years of industry and risk consulting experience, having spent nearly a decade at Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance in the UK before joining MS Amlin as head of risk engineering – property and casualty SBU, after its acquisition by Mitsui.
Mandy Hunt, chief underwriting officer of commercial lines at RSA, said: “Risk consulting is an integral part of our business as we not only want to be there for our clients at the point of claim, but we also want to use our data and expertise to support them in their efforts to manage and mitigate their risks, reducing the likelihood of them needing to claim in the first place.
“I am delighted to appoint Andy Jones as the new Director of our Risk Consulting team as he brings a wealth of experience and, in an ever evolving world, will give us the leadership and expertise needed to best support our customers.”
Jones commented: “The risk consulting team are a fantastic group of professionals who are passionate about providing our customers with the very best advice and guidance on how they can manage and navigate the risks faced by their organisations. It is a privilege to be asked to take on the leadership of the team. I very much look forward to working with all parts of the business in growing our proposition, capability and services to support both underwriting and clients in the years to come.”
