RKH poaches Ed’s head of energy for new unit

RKH Specialty, part of the Hyperion Insurance Group, has appointed Richard Haines as managing director to lead its newly formed natural resources practice.

Haines is presently the head of Ed Broking’s energy business unit and will join RKH once his contractual commitments with Ed Broking have been fulfilled.

Paul Redgate, deputy chairman of RKH commented: “I first met Richard at Lloyd Thompson (predecessor to JLT) and have always had the utmost respect for his drive, ability and work ethic. Richard is a formidable broker and has an enviable reputation with clients, intermediaries and insurers.

"We are delighted that Richard is joining us and he will make a lasting impression on our ambitions in the Natural Resource arena as we continue to invest in and grow our capabilities and resources throughout the Hyperion Group.”
