PwC appoints new London Market insurance leader
PwC has appointed Paul Delbridge to take on the role of London Market insurance leader from Jim Bichard.
Bichard became the leader of PwC's UK insurance practice after Jonathan Howe stepped down from the position recently.
In his new role, Delbridge will have responsibility for the firm's activities and services to the Lloyd's, London Market company and major broker markets.
Delbridge is a partner with 30 years of experience at the firm, including three years in New York in the re/insurance sectors.
Bichard commented: "The London Market is hugely important for PwC’s insurance practice and one where we have continued to grow and establish a leading presence in the assurance, deals, tax and advisory spaces supporting our clients.
"Paul brings a fantastic wealth of experience and is ideally suited to developing and innovating how we work with our London Market and broking clients in the future."
Delbridge added: "I am very excited about taking on this role within our practice. Despite facing tough trading conditions, the London Market continues to be very dynamic, with modernisation, innovation, diversity and disruption all high on the agenda.
"I look forward to the challenge of ensuring that PwC offers the very best of our thinking, expertise and experience to our clients, and am looking to build on the very strong platform that Jim has built over the last four years."
