Peak Capital bolsters board with former Allied World CRO
Peak Capital, the wholly-owned Bermuda subsidiary of the Hong Kong-based global reinsurer Peak Reinsurance Company (Peak Re), has appointed the former group chief risk officer and chief pricing actuary of Allied World Assurance Company to help deepen its ILS capabilities.
Barry Zurbuchen (pictured) has joined the firm as a non-executive director to its board of directors.
Zurbuchen joins the board of Peak Capital after a 35-year career specialising in risk management, actuarial analyses and capital modelling. He was previously the group CRO and CPA of Allied World Assurance Company.
Franz Josef Hahn, chief executive officer of Peak Re, commented: "I would like to extend a warm welcome to Barry as a new member of the Board of Directors of Peak Capital. Barry has extensive experience in the design and execution of enterprise risk management strategies, and I know his contribution to the Board will be greatly appreciated as we continue to develop and deepen our insurance-linked securities (ILS) capabilities."
