Paul Jardine joins insurtech AkinovA's board
Former XL Catlin veteran Paul Jardine has joined the advisory board of insurtech startup AkinovA.
AkinovA is an electronic marketplace for the transfer and trading of re/insurance risks.
Jardine was most recently executive vice president and chief experience officer of XL Catlin. He joined Catlin (now part of AXA XL), in 2001 with responsibility for the development of new financial products.
Prior to that, Jardine was chief executive of the Catlin Syndicate and chief operating officer of Catlin. Previously, he was a partner at PwC forerunner Coopers & Lybrand. He also served for nine years as the deputy chairman of the Council of Lloyd's.
At AkinovA, Jardine’s primary focus will be to assist in the growth and development of the AkinovA marketplace utilising his in-depth knowledge of the global re/insurance market and regulatory environments to identify and address marketplace pain points and help drive market liquidity.
"We are proud to announce that Paul Jardine has joined AkinovA’s Advisory Board. Paul brings with him a wealth of experience from across the Insurance industry from strategic level leadership, Operations, Claims and Distribution Strategy as well as Communications & Marketing," AkinovA said in a statement.
