PartnerRe lifts 17-year vet to group chief underwriting officer
Bermuda-based PartnerRe has revealed a new group non-life chief underwriting officer. The newly appointed executive has a tenure of over 17 years within the company.
Sylvain Jarrier (pictured) has assumed the position of group non-life CUO at PartnerRe. He will also join the company's executive leadership team.
In this role, Jarrier will take charge of underwriting standards and balancing capital and capacity utilisation across all lines of business.
Jarrier was most recently head of worldwide pricing and analytics. He joined the reinsurer in 2003 and has held a variety of senior leadership roles within the company. Prior to that, Jarrier served as a pricing actuary at SCOR in London.
