PartnerRe adds former top Munich Re executive to board of directors
Bermuda-based reinsurer PartnerRe has appointed Hermann Pohlchristoph, formerly of Munich Re, to its board of directors.
Pohlchristoph left Munich Re in April 2020 after 17 years in multiple executive roles, most recently as a member of the board of management since 2017 and as CFO reinsurance from 2006 to 2017. Prior to that, he served as head of financial reporting and accounting at Munich Re for two years.
PartnerRe's board will now comprise five directors, of which three will be independent directors including Pohlchristoph.
Brian Dowd, chairman of PartnerRe board, said: “On behalf of the Board, Jacques Bonneau and I would like to welcome Hermann. His wealth of experience in the re/insurance industry spans 28 years and he brings a breadth of professional expertise that will further strengthen the Board’s depth of talent.”
