Orchid Insurance secures Joe Zuk as managing director
Orchid Insurance has hired Joe Zuk as managing director of it Corporate Development and Strategy team, a new role in the company.
The specialty underwriter of catastrophe exposed property insurance said Zuk is responsible for the company’s corporate development and strategic initiatives and will report into and work closely with president and CEO Brad Emmons.
Zuk will also work with Orchid’s partner TowerBrook Capital Partners to grow the business through mergers and acquisitions, organic growth opportunities, innovation and value-creating strategic initiatives.
Zuk joins the firm with over 15 years of experience and contacts throughout the insurance and reinsurance verticals. In a previous dual role at Atlas General Holdings, Zuk grew the business and directed and executed the company’s corporate growth and development strategies. Zuk was also a reinsurance broker and underwriter during his career where he developed an extensive network of relationships in both domestic and international markets.
