Ocean Re opens Mexico office; names head

Ocean International Reinsurance Company (Ocean Re) is expanding in the Mexican re/insurance market with a new office to be headed by Rebeca Pena.

The company received authorisation from the National Insurance Commission of Mexico in September 2017 to establish a representative office in Mexico City.

Carlos Chamorro, executive director, said: "We are very pleased with this authorisation, which represents another stage in our solid development in the insurance and reinsurance industry, commits us to continue promoting and innovating, for the benefit of our clients and friends."
