NFP acquires US P&C broker Associated Agency Group
Insurance broker NFP has acquired the US-based intermediary Associated Agency Group, which specialises in personal and commercial property/casualty insurance.
The acquisition expands NFP's property/casualty offerings and its presence in the Pacific Northwest region, the company said.
Following the deal, Lonnie Butcher, the chief executive of Associated, will join NFP as a strategic consultant, and operations director Shannon Hill becomes the director of NFP P&C. Both the executives will report to Ed Kurowski, regional president of NFP’s Mountain States region.
"We are delighted to welcome AAG to the growing NFP family," said Terry Scali CEO of NFP P&C. "AAG’s personal commitment to client service and wide-ranging expertise in personal and commercial insurance aligns well with our company culture and desire to expand our Northwest presence."
Hill commented: "Our company is overjoyed not only to partner with one of the most sophisticated insurance brokers in the country, but also to work with other NFP offices in the Northwest territory to provide market resources and expertise to our clients."
