Nexus unveils new A&H division in Asia expansion strategy

Specialty managing general agent (MGA) Nexus Group has appointed Justin Yeo as head of Nexus accident & health, Asia to further expand its offerings in the region.

Yeo joins Nexus from Aspen Singapore where he was previously director and head of accident & health responsible for establishing and developing Aspen’s A&H presence in Asia. Prior to that, he held various A&H underwriting positions with Starr, Chubb and AIG.

Based in Singapore, Yeo will join the new Nexus accident & health division that has been created to build a diverse global A&H account and will report to managing director Peter Slot.

Slot said: “I am delighted that someone of Justin’s calibre is joining the team as this clearly demonstrates Nexus’ strong commitment to expansion in the region. Justin will drive forward our Accident & Health business in Asia including China and will work with existing Nexus colleagues in Hong Kong and Labuan to develop and implement our overall strategy.”

Yeo commented: “I’m pleased and excited to be part of the Nexus team as I believe that, given the inherent strengths of Nexus and its people, we have a great opportunity to develop and build the Asia Accident & Health portfolio by adding value and providing solutions for brokers and clients.”
