Munich Re Specialty lands former Chubb E&S specialist
Munich Re Specialty Insurance (MRSI), a part of global reinsurer Munich Re, has tapped a former Chubb senior executive to lead its excess and surplus (E&S) primary casualty business.
Sean O’Connell (pictured) has joined MRSI as head of E&S primary casualty, based in Boston, Massachusetts.
O’Connell replaces Diane Link, who has moved to the new position of talent management & development partner for Munich Re America.
O’Connell was most recently a vice president at Westchester Casualty, an excess and surplus lines unit of Chubb. Prior to that, he worked as primary casualty manager at Tokio Marine HCC, and as account executive & broker at Aon Risk Solutions. He also previously worked at AIG and Lexington Insurance Company in a variety of senior underwriting roles.
