Mungeam leaves Aon Benfield after 24 years to become consultant
After 24 years at Aon Benfield, among others as chief operating officer Asia Pacific client services, Peter Mungeam is leaving the broker on Oct. 31 to work for consultancy firm r10 Consulting and his own creation Bubblegum Consulting.
“Today is my last day at Aon Benfield and I must say it’s been an absolute privilege working here, having thoroughly enjoyed my 24 years and being part of a winning team who are highly respected in the market,” Mungeam wrote in an email.
“Some of you will know that I have been fortunate to have worked for the past 2 years with our LM leaders on the target operating model, which is making London an easier place to do business.
“Representing Aon and Aon Benfield in this role provided me with a unique opportunity to connect with many companies across the market and gain valuable insights into the challenges they face both globally and internally in an ever changing environment.
“I am delighted to be able to extend my relationships further by now working with brokers, carriers, associations, and vendors through the establishment of my own company Bubblegum Consulting.
Bubblegum is a new boutique consultancy providing professional advice and specialist services to the London and International re/insurance markets. The company provides consultancy, marketing and advisory services to clients who wish to grow their business, according to the website. Bubblegum aims to create operational efficiency and competitive advantage to clients, claiming to offer unbiased views on what products or solutions may be best suited to the client organisation.
Mungeam has also accepted the role as managing director responsible for advisory and client engagement of r10 Consulting, a city based consultancy where he will be responsible for growing the business side of consultancy over the next few years.
