MS Amlin general counsel to depart after a decade
Specialty re/insurer MS Amlin has confirmed that its group general counsel, Bob Robinson, will be leaving the company later this year after eleven years in the role.
Robinson joined Amlin as general counsel in 2007 and took a leading legal role in the growth of Amlin through a number of acquisitions and in the sale of the company to Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance in 2016. Robinson also has been active in litigation management both at MS Amlin and in significant cases involving the wider London market.
MS Amlin CEO, Charles Philipps, said: “Bob has shown extraordinary commitment to MS Amlin over the past eleven years and he has been a trusted adviser both to management and the business. He leaves a strong legal team in place, and we wish him every success in his future endeavours. We hope to work closely with Bob going forward and benefitting from his experience and legal skills.”
Robinson commented: “It has been a pleasure and a privilege working at MS Amlin during such exciting times for the business and I wish them all the best for the future. However, after thirty years as a practising lawyer, it was time to change gears and I am looking forward to new and different challenges.”
