MS Amlin, the global reinsurer, has made two senior appointments to bolster its Americas reinsurance team.
Louis De Segonzac has been appointed chief underwriting officer (CUO) and Maria Amelio becomes lead casualty underwriter, US at MS Amlin’s Americas business in New Jersey and Miami.
De Segonzac took on his role beginning May 1 and Amelio joined the company on May 20. Amelio reports to De Segonzac while De Segonzac reports to Charles Goldie, CUO of MS Amlin.

In her new role she is responsible for building on MS Amlin’s portfolio of casualty business.
Charles Goldie, CUO MS Amlin, said: “Louis has already proven himself an invaluable member of the team, and his depth of knowledge and strategic expertise will be critical in executing our future ambitions, while Maria’s strong technical background and client development skills will be critical in accelerating momentum as MS Amlin AG continues to grow.”
