MS Amlin AG CRO exits after 8 years, replaced by Prudential veteran
Global reinsurer MS Amlin AG has hired a new chief risk officer (CRO) from Prudential following the departure of Catherine Farnworth.
Farnworth is leaving the business after more than eight years.
Michael Koller (pictured) will become the new CRO. He will be based in Zurich, Switzerland.
With almost 30 years of industry experience, Koller joins MS AAG from Prudential where he held the position of group risk director for nine years. Prior to that, he was the CRO at Aviva, building and leading the business’ global risk team in addition to being a member of the European Executive Board. A trained actuary, he has held other senior risk and actuarial roles at Partner Re, Swiss Re and Swiss Life over the course of his career, and has actively engaged with regulatory authorities, such as Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA).
Martin Albers, interim CEO and chairman of MS Amlin AG, thanked Farnworth for her hard work and dedication to the business.
He said: "Michael’s appointment demonstrates our ability to attract the highest level of talent from across the industry. I am confident that he will play a key role as we continue to focus on executing our business strategy, building a global, full-service and diversified reinsurance business, underpinned by strong shareholder capital, that meets the growing needs of our clients around the world.”
