As the frequency and severity of natural catastrophes continue to increase, the need to create a sustainable property reinsurance market is more urgent than ever, says Mohit Pande, chief underwriting officer, property, at Swiss Re.
The property reinsurance market has made “great strides” in 2023, he says, as it moves towards more sustainable reinsurance structures, tighter contract wordings and a new pricing equilibrium. And Pande expects this progress to continue, he tells Monte Carlo Today.
