Mitsui Sumitomo to use Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ PULSE
Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has announced that Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance and its Group companies (MSIG) will use its next-generation platform, PULSE, to efficiently structure and manage customers' multinational insurance programmes.
The PULSE platform, which was launched in 2019, will help MSIG streamline its technology and overcome inefficiencies and data discrepancy challenges that come from managing multinational insurance programmes across multiple applications. This also includes the support of global claims information management and billing.
MSIG will be the first commercial insurer to be licensed to use the PULSE platform on a standalone Software as a Service (SaaS) basis.
The cloud-based platform supports the collaboration process for MSIG's global and local teams, their network partners, brokers and agents along the steps of structuring programmes, exposure management, local policy request and issuance as well as a premium collection.
The platform will be rolled out in phases with MSIG's operations in Germany and France starting to use PULSE from 1 January 2022, to collaborate digitally with MSIG's established network of affiliated servicing carriers. Later in the same year, PULSE will be rolled out to further MSIG producing offices across the world.
"We are thrilled to be partnering with MSIG and to help advance the way they provide their customers with international programme solutions," said Andreas Berger, CEO Swiss Re Corporate Solutions. "By providing our platform to MSIG, we extend the market for this solution to other carriers and help them to improve collaboration, transparency, efficiency and service quality."
Tamaki Kawate, director, senior executive officer at Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company, said: " Swiss Re's PULSE platform will significantly ease cooperation among the global group entities to better serve our multinational client base."
