Mirnik to succeed Štěpán as VIG Re head of Central & Eastern Europe
Czech Republic-based reinsurer VIG Re has appointed Aleš Mirnik as new head of Central & Eastern Europe, succeeding Petr Štěpán.Czech Republic-based reinsurer VIG Re has appointed Aleš Mirnik as new head of Central & Eastern Europe, succeeding Petr Štěpán.
Štěpán has decided to leave after five years to pursue opportunities outside of VIG Group.
Mirnik will be responsible of the non-life treaty underwriting for CEE region, including Baltics, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, CIS countries and Turkey for business originating from inside and outside of VIG Group. He will report to Tomasz Rowicki, responsible board member for business assumed from the region.
Mirnik has over 15 years of experience in the reinsurance industry. He started his career as an underwriter in Sava Re in 2003 where he developed their international third-party business as an executive director.
