Miller taps Lockton to bolster financial risks unit
Broker Miller has unveiled a new head of professional and financial risks who joins from rival Lockton.
Laura McDonough (pictured) was most recently in Lockton’s Professional Indemnity insurance practice, where she has been since 2009. Prior to Lockton, McDonough also spent time at both Miller and WTW. She will report into Tim Norman, managing director of Miller's UK division, and will be based in London.
The company said McDonough’s appointment reflects the continued growth of Miller’s UK division and follows the recent hires of Chris Hardcastle to head Miller’s Delegated Authority team and Matthew Keeping to head Miller’s Property and Casualty team.
Norman said: “It is great to be welcoming Laura back to the team. Her reputation in the market and deep expertise in Professional Indemnity insurance, particularly global construction and property related risks, will be a great asset to our growing team. Our ability to attract talent such as Laura is testament to Miller’s culture and offering and I look forward to working with her as we continue to expand our business.”
