Miller recruits new marine team member

Peter Townsend will be joining marine broker Miller in January to support new business development in North America.

Initially, he will focus on growing the North American marine portfolio, which encompasses hull & machinery, protection and indemnity, transport liabilities, war risks, cargo and stock throughput cover.

His invaluable technical input, built up over a number of years, will further strengthen the Miller team and support our aim of providing an unrivalled service to our clients,” said Phil Wheeler, head of marine.

Townsend brings a wealth of marine experience, having served as chairman of the London market Joint Hull Committee and a member of both the Lloyd’s Marine Association and IUMI Ocean hull Committee; he is also the founder of Ensign Consultancy.
