Miller eyes expansion in US casualty market with ex-Aon, Price Forbes hires
Specialist re/insurance broker Miller has lured two senior executives from Price Forbes, with a background at Aon/JLT, in a move to expand its US casualty book of business.
Galen Brislane and Danielle Thorsteinson join the broker as account executives for its US casualty unit. Brislane will be based in Bermuda, and Thorsteinson in Miller’s London office, both reporting into Mark West, head of US casualty.
Brislane has over 30 years of experience working in London and Bermuda, focusing on large and complex casualty clients. He has experience across insurance, reinsurance, and captive management. Most recently Galen worked as executive vice president, US casualty at Price Forbes (Bermuda), he has also held senior producing roles at Aon and JLT.
Thorsteinson has over 17 years of wholesale and retail casualty experience. Prior to joining Miller, Thorsteinson was a director in Price Forbes’ London construction team. She has also held roles at Aon, RT Specialty and Worldwide Facilities.
Mark West, head of US casualty at Miller, said: “These are two excellent senior hires for our US Casualty team.
