Miller draws former Willis/QBE property & casualty leader in expansion move
Specialist re/insurance broker Miller has hired a property and casualty leader with 20 years of industry experience and a background at Willis and QBE to support its ongoing UK and international expansion.
Matthew Keeping joins the broker as head of property and casualty. He will report into Tim Norman, managing director, Miller UK.
Keeping succeeds Mike Papworth who was recently appointed to the new dual role of managing director of Miller International and chairman of property and casualty, following the strategic re-alignment of the business into two divisions, Miller UK and Miller International, to support UK and international growth.
Keeping has over 20 years’ experience and extensive knowledge of P&C, specialty insurance and reinsurance. He joins from Foresight, where he was head of distribution. Prior to this, he spent time at QBE North America as well as 14 years at Willis, where he held several roles in the UK and North America.
Norman said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Matthew to the team. His deep market relationships and significant experience across a number of key regions in both client-facing and leadership roles will be of great benefit to Miller as we continue to grow. We’ve started 2023 at pace and Matthew is the perfect person to take on this role as we continue to expand.”
Keeping commented: “Miller’s independence, excellent reputation, and the broking skill of its people, provide an excellent platform for future growth. Miller’s values of working as one team and acting with integrity are a great fit for my own ethos, and I’m excited to get started and deliver for our clients.”
