Marsh becomes Marsh McLennan as broker updates name
Global insurance broking and risk management firm Marsh has changed its name to Marsh McLennan.
The company said the change, which includes “a new look", may be a small amendment but it “carries deep meaning for who we are and what we do”.
It said that the modernised name and logo, which is now an abstract infinity symbol, “embody and emphasise” its heritage.
“Taken together, these changes also convey how our businesses – Marsh, Guy Carpenter, Mercer and Oliver Wyman – are working in unison to take on the world’s greatest challenges,” a statement said.
Pointing to the coronavirus pandemic as a driver for changed, the company also highlighted how it has navigated the climate crisis so far as well as “an overdue reckoning with race, equity and social justice” in 2020, which it said was “a year of urgency and disruption that made Marsh McLennan faster, more flexible, more collaborative and primed to take on whatever comes next”.
The broker added that with its “long legacy of innovation and client service” it continues to help clients navigate the shifting landscape of interconnected needs with more comprehensive solutions across its businesses.
“Clients come to Marsh McLennan for innovation and holistic solutions, and we deliver more as one unified enterprise than the sum of our parts. Our global network of advisers and doers is an impact multiplier that unlocks unrivaled value for those we serve.
“Our name has changed. The superior expertise and insights you have come to expect have not,” the statement said.
