Marsh appoints new global leader of multinational client service
Broker Marsh has appointed David Rahr as global leader of multinational client service, succeeding Justin Walsleben who has retired from the firm.
Rahr will oversee Marsh’s Multinational Client Service (MCS) team that provides global insights and strategic risk advice to multinational companies of all sizes across 130 countries.
A long-time Marsh executive, Rahr most recently served as risk management segment leader for Marsh’s US Central Region, where he oversaw the delivery of transactional and risk advisory services to many of the largest multinational organisations.
Based in Chicago, Rahr will report to Flavio Piccolomini, president, Marsh International, and Martin South, president, US and Canada.
Piccolomini said: “As evidenced by the global Coronavirus pandemic, multinational clients are operating in a complex, interconnected environment where strategic insights and advice are vital to managing their risks on a global scale.”
South added: “David is a passionate leader and client advocate with a strong track record for delivering complex global programs. He is the right choice to lead the MCS team and further enhance our ability to support our multinational clients with cutting-edge risk solutions.”
Rahr commented: “Whether operating in one or dozens of countries around the world, managing a global insurance program can be challenging, especially in today’s environment. Marsh brings the global insight, disciplined operating process, and deep experience needed to assist multinational organisations in managing their global programs. I look forward to leading this distinguished team and working to exceed the expectations of our multinational clients.”
