Lockton replaces US Northeast operations leader
Insurance broker Lockton has named Robert Connolly as the new chairman of its US Northeast operations, succeeding Michael Calabrese who will serve as vice chairman.
Connolly has been the president of Lockton’s Washington, DC office since its founding in 2005. In his expanded leadership role, Connolly will oversee Lockton’s Northeast offices in Washington, New York City, Boston, Hartford and Philadelphia.
"Bob’s leadership abilities make him the perfect person to guide the Northeast series," Calabrese said. "His dedication to client service and associates will help us continue to expand."
Glenn Spencer, president and CEO of Lockton, added: "Bob has earned the respect of clients and our Lockton Associates. His dedication to clients and Associates, along with his expertise as a risk management advisor, will help us continue our double-digit growth in the region."
Before Lockton, Connolly was a managing director at Marsh & McLennan. He specialises in risk financing, professional liability, cyber, directors and officers liability, and mergers and acquisitions.
Lockton has more than 250 associates in its Northeast operations, providing a full array of risk management, employee benefits, and retirement services consulting to corporate clients. The business grew more than 11 percent in fiscal 2017.
