Lockton Re lures Nephila/Aon leader to fuel innovation drive
Global reinsurance broker Lockton Re has onboarded a market innovation leader in London to drive fresh strategies and unlock new opportunities in the market. The newly hired executive boasts a wealth of industry experience from his decade-long tenure at Nephila Capital and numerous roles at Aon Benfield spanning in London, Bermuda, Canada, and the US.
Chris Parish has joined Lockton Re as market innovation leader based in the London office. He will be working with colleagues across the globe reporting to Claude Yoder, global head of analytics at Lockton Re.
Parish has 25 years of re/insurance experience and was most recently at Nephila Capital – as a partner and the portfolio management & funds team leader in Bermuda, and as a senior business advisor in London for more than a decade. Previously, he spent time at Aon Benfield Securities, Aon Benfield Re and Benfield, working in London, Bermuda, Canada, and the US.
Lockton believes his expertise in client relations, technology, securitisation, and fund management equips him with a deep understanding of the current trends in the reinsurance market, and insight into the potential for future innovation and technology.
Yoder said: “I am delighted to welcome Chris to the team in this new and exciting role. To ensure our clients and partners benefit from the external technological changes that are occurring, the reinsurance industry needs to consolidate its data flows and share data through digital connectivity.
“Our lack of legacy systems and the flexibility of Lockton Re’s SAGE, our proprietary analytics tool, mean we are in a great position to successfully embrace this change. Chris’ expertise and experience will help ensure that Lockton Re plays a key role in this technology advancement.”
Tim Gardner, global CEO, Lockton Re added: “Lockton Re is in a very strong position with our technology investments and our forward-thinking analytics teams to bring faster and deeper connectivity to clients, reinsurance partners and our colleagues. I look forward to working with Chris, Claude, and the wider team to support their efforts to modernise the markets we trade in.”
