Lockton plucks Gallagher talent to drive growth across a global practice
Global broker Lockton has taken a senior Gallagher executive to drive further growth of its global real estate and construction business.
Peter Chesterfield (pictured) joins the firm as senior vice president in the global real estate & construction (GREAC) team, reporting to David Hayhow, head of Lockton's global construction practice.
In his new role, Chesterfield will be tasked with maintaining and accelerating the growth of the Lockton GREAC practice, focussing on the division’s construction projects across international markets. Lockton claims its global construction practice experienced 30% revenue growth in the last 12 months.
Chesterfield joins from Gallagher, where, as executive partner, he was responsible for devising and executing the strategy for new business, and sales initiatives for key accounts across Gallagher's construction division. He brings over a decade years of experience in the delivery of business development, sales and strategic account management across construction classes, both in London and Australia, to his new role. He previously held senior roles at JLT and Marsh Specialty.
Hayhow said: “Peter joins at an exciting time for our Global Real Estate & Construction team and his proven track record in business development means he is perfectly placed to support our next stage of growth. I am delighted to welcome Peter to the team, with his experience and expertise, we are ideally placed to maintain our momentum and further enhance our client focused approach which is core to our ongoing success.”
Chesterfield commented: “Lockton is well known in the market for its strong collaborative business culture and unwavering focus on service. I look forward to driving this forward, bringing innovative solutions to our clients across the world and building on the GREAC team’s impressive growth.”
